Southwest Jiaotong University
Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) was established in 1896 and is one of the oldest universities in China. Currently, the University has 18 schools, 3 departments and 2 divisions, with over 38,000 students, 3900 teachers and staff including 1800 professors and associate professors. There are now 45 PhD programmes and 95 programmes leading to a master’s degree.
SWJTU pays great attention to international exchanges and cooperation, and has now established good collaborative relationships with over 70 universities in 50 countries and states. Each year, SWJTU invites over 250 long and short-term international experts, and over 300 long-term international students from more than 20 countries and states for study.
Programme introduction
Staffordshire University and Southwest Jiaotong University recognize and accept mutual credits by matching their courses.
Students successfully completing the programme will get two Bachelor’s Degrees, one awarded by Southwest Jiaotong University and the other by Staffordshire University. Chinese students complete the first part of their undergraduate degree programme in China and the balance at Staffordshire University.
