Institution background

The Top-up programme runs under the auspices of the Sichuan Education Service Center for International Exchange, the Education Department of Sichuan Province (SESCIE).

Founded in 2006, SESCIE, under the supervision of the Education Department of Sichuan Province, is an educational institution which provides educational services to the Sichuan education community.

Its major tasks are to develop all kinds of educational exchanges and cooperation, process the related procedures of State Scholarship Programmes and the Provincial Scholarship Programmes.

Programme introduction

Top-up is a degree programme through which candidates who hold the China Diploma Certificate are able to complete the final year of undergraduate study in a UK University in order to achieve a BA Degree. At present in China, the number of graduates who hold a Diploma Certificate is increasing dramatically each year and this programme is designed to enhance the employment prospects of successful students by giving them the more highly regarded BA qualification.
